EQUIPMENT/METHODS

Selected equipment/methods will be used during this project:

  • Laser Microdissection LMD7000 (Leica) – for cutting specific structures form frozen and paraffin embedded sections,
  • Bioanalyzer 2100 (Agilent) – for checking the RNA integrity (especially after laser microdissection),
  • Real-time PCR StepOnePlus (Applied Biosystem) – for a broad analysis of a gene expression profile on mRNA level, as well as miRNA analysis,
  • AmpliSpeed slide cycler (Beckman Coulter) – for RT-PCR reaction from very small amount of samples (especially after laser microdissection),
  • FlexMap3D (Luminex) – for measurement of a dozen or so of cytokines/growth factors in small volume of lysates obtained from tissues or serum,
  • Chambers for hypoxic conditions/hypoxic incubator – for culturing of endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) in low oxygen concentration,
  • The platform for preparation of frozen and paraffin-embedded sections and immuno-histochemical stainings.
  • Instruments for Western blots, ELISA
